Jura’s emblematic appellations celebrate their anniversaries
Between 2025 and 2026, several of Jura’s emblematic appellations are marking significant anniversaries, bringing increased visibility to the region’s vineyards as a whole.
The 30th anniversary of AOC* Crémant du Jura

In 2025, AOC* Crémant du Jura celebrated its 30th anniversary with a grand banquet held in Salins-les-Bains in October, as part of the nationwide Vignobles en Scène event.
The 90th anniversaries of AOC Arbois and AOC Château-Chalon
In 2026, two historic appellations take centre stage: AOC Arbois, the first French wine appellation officially recognised in 1936, and AOC Château-Chalon, also among the very first AOCs, both celebrating their 90th anniversaries.
These milestones are marked by several highlights. For Arbois, a gathering in Paris in February, held alongside the Wine Paris fair, brought together journalists, restaurateurs and importers around the appellation’s wines.

In Château-Chalon, a guided gourmet walk took place on 7 June, linking Menétru-le-Vignoble to the village of Château-Chalon, followed by a Chefs’ Dinner and an evening fireworks display.
Celebrations continued on 18 July, with a day and evening open to the public in Arbois.
Promoting the Jura vineyards’ collective profile
Through these events, the Jura appellations as a whole benefit from heightened exposure. Domaine Maire & Fils is supporting this momentum by contributing to these occasions, notably through wine donations for tastings, thereby helping to promote the collective profile of the Jura vineyards.
