Costières de Nîmes – Since 1884
Overing 40 ha, Château Grand Escalion was built in 1884 and is located in Générac, a small village close to the Roman city of Nîmes. At the crossroads of the Rhône Valley & the Languedoc regions, it is the link between the two favourite wine-growing regions of Gabriel Meffre, the Languedoc and the Rhône Valley. The vines grow on cobble terraces lying on a bed of marl from the Pliocene period, and benefit from the influence of the Mediterranean sea. 5 cuvées, 3 of which are parcel selections, are crafted by Nicolas Speranza, Vineyard manager and winemaker.
