Delightfully expressive aromas
The harvests
Harvesting began in the last week of August, in other
words, 7 to 10 days earlier (depending on the geographical
area) than the previous year. Everything was in place
for this vintage to be a real success: a particularly
rainy autumn, ensuring soil moisture levels were just
right; a mild, dry winter and a summer characterized
by significant temperature differentials between day
and night, which were beneficial for the berries. As
a result, we had superb grapes which ripened early
and were in excellent health across the full range of
appellations.
End of August: the harvest began with the Costières de
Nîmes whites and the Merlots for the Château Grand Initial tastings
