The Domaine de la Vougeraie is located
in the little village of Premeaux-Prissey,
in the terroir of Nuits-Saint-Georges.

For the past 20 years, it has been producing wines, firstly according
to organic principles, and then biodynamic. over time, its vines have
undergone continual improvement, by removing poor-yielding plants,
plowing the soil using horse-drawn plows, replanting, shaping the
landscape, planting fruit trees, selecting the best rootstock from massal
selections at the estate, and an in-depth consideration for all aspects
of winegrowing and production. improving the vines is like a duty at La
Vougeraie now and for future generations, because vines are about more
than a single human lifetime.
There have also been acquisitions of new plots, particularly in recent
years, with vines located on the higher ground of nuits-saint-Georges,
within the Bourgogne appellation. The estate has also expanded to the
other side of the Rue de l’Eglise, with the acquisition of an old, smallish
winery, where the Bourgogne Terres de Familles range of reds will be
vinified, to make a little more room during the harvest.
During the renovation work, six new temperature-controlled 65hl wooden
vats will be installed for the 2020 harvest; the same as those in the original
winery. Direct access to the cellar will allow the estate to age around 100
pièces, which will enjoy the same conditions as their illustrious neighbors.
